We offer mobile Occupational Therapy services to the adult population in the Newcastle and Greater Hunter region. The 4 in OT4Life stands for the 4 elements of holistic health and wellness: Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual. We aim to provide a HOLISTIC, multifaceted approach to therapy to help you achieve your goals and ensure best therapy outcomes.
We provide the following Occupational Therapy services:
We see client's with a variety of diagnoses ranging from physical, intellectual, cognitive, neurological, visual, hearing or psychosocial.
Targeted therapy intervention and activities to build your independence and achieve your goals.
OT4Life have the expertise to evaluate, modify and recommend wheelchair and seating systems that allow patients to achieve optimal positioning to increase comfort, independence and quality of life.
We can recommend devices and assistive aids to help you do the activities you want and need to do in your daily life. We will help educate you on the safe use of the device to help you achieve goals and greater independence.
We provide practical and safe home modification solutions to ensure the you are better able to access your home environment.
We assist people wanting to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and can guide you to navigate the services available.
We assess appropriate levels and styles of support (SIL) along with suitable disability accommodation (SDA) to recommend the best fit for you.
We provide pressure care directives and equipment prescription to reduce the risk of developing or managing pressure injuries.
We will work with someone with dementia to identify where there are difficulties in independent function and day-to-day activities. We recommend strategies to adapt the environment to support the person with dementia
Natasha is a APHRA registered senior Occupational Therapist with experience in a range of clinical roles. Natasha has worked in a variety of settings including return to work, rehabilitation, community and recovery. She has a particular interest in dementia care, pressure care, home modifications, stroke rehab, mental health and capacity building for promotion of quality of life and wellbeing. Natasha works in a trauma-informed, holistic, collaborative, and person-centered way.
